Halloween Weekend!

A little creepy blurb from the chapter 'What Witched Things May Come' in Arisen by S.E. Lucas:

They quickly fell back into the sullen dreariness of the night. The quiet was maddening. Not even the crickets chirped. The only sound came from the noisy horses, wheels grinding the earth, moaning wagons, and the shuffling of sleeping children. Once again, Kalevel rubbed his face, even slapped himself to stay awake. Edmund grunted. Hazel rolled her head around. Her head bobbed as her chin jammed against her chest. Their breathing became heavier and in tune with the rhythm of the groans of the wagon wheels. They felt themselves drifting into the dreams of the witch.

Then, the screams came.

And the moans.

And the cries.

And a sinister, maniacal laughter.
